OUR STORY
More Than a Dojo. A Community Built with Purpose.
Every great community begins with a purpose.
YOTHAI was created from a shared vision: to build a place where people of all ages and backgrounds could become healthier, stronger, and more connected through the practices of Yoga and Muay Thai.
What started as training sessions in a backyard has grown into something much bigger than a dojo.
It has become a community built on discipline, respect, compassion, and personal growth.
Whether you're stepping onto the mats for the very first time or returning after years away, you'll find a place where you are welcomed, challenged, and supported every step of the way.
Our goal has never been simply to teach martial arts or yoga.
Our goal is to help people become the strongest version of themselves—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
MORE THAN A WORKOUT
Most people don't wake up one morning and decide they need Yoga or Muay Thai.
What they're really looking for is something deeper.
They want to feel healthier.
More confident, more capable, more connected.
They want a challenge, they want growth.
They want to become a stronger version of themselves.
At YOTHAI, we believe Yoga and Muay Thai are two powerful paths that help people get there.
In a world filled with quick fixes and shortcuts, both practices offer something different.
They reward consistency, they teach patience.
They remind us that meaningful growth happens one day, one class, and one repetition at a time.
Whether you're learning a new strike, holding a challenging posture, or simply showing up on a day when you don't feel like training, each practice teaches the same lesson:
Growth is earned.
Not overnight, not through talent alone.
But through discipline, consistency, and a willingness to keep showing up.
WHAT IS MUAY THAI?
Muay Thai is the national sport and martial art of Thailand, often referred to as "The Art of Eight Limbs" because it utilizes punches, kicks, knees, and elbows.
But to us, Muay Thai is about much more than learning how to fight.
One of our students described it perfectly:
"I was drawn to Muay Thai because of its elegance and unique beauty. It is the embodiment of physical confidence cultivated through hard work and discipline. I am drawn to the physical and mental toughness it instills in its practitioners."
We couldn't say it better ourselves.
Muay Thai develops confidence, resilience, humility, discipline, and self-control.
It teaches us how to remain calm under pressure.
How to overcome discomfort, how to trust the process even when progress feels slow.
The lessons learned on the mat become lessons carried into everyday life.
WHAT IS YOGA?
Yoga is the practice of connecting movement, breath, and awareness.
Many people discover Yoga because they want greater flexibility, mobility, recovery, or stress relief.
What they often find is something much greater.
Yoga teaches us to be present.
It teaches us to slow down; it teaches us to listen.
Through intentional movement and breathing, Yoga develops strength, balance, clarity, resilience, and inner peace.
Yoga is a lifelong journey, it isn't something to master, it's something to continually explore.
WHY WE BELIEVE THEY BELONG TOGETHER
At first glance, Yoga and Muay Thai appear very different.
One is powerful, the other is peaceful.
One is explosive, the other is reflective.
Yet they share the same foundation.
Discipline, Humility, Presence, Patience, and Respect.
Muay Thai develops confidence through action.
Yoga develops awareness through presence.
One teaches us how to push.
The other teaches us when to breathe.
One builds resilience.
The other builds recovery.
Together, they create balance.
Together, they help us become healthier, stronger, and more complete human beings.
MORE THAN A GYM
You'll occasionally hear us refer to YOTHAI as a gym because it's a familiar term.
But what we're really building is a dojo.
A place dedicated to learning.
Growth.
Discipline.
Community.
Before YOTHAI had a home, students gathered in a backyard and continued training together while Instructor Kate and Kru Diego searched for the right space.
People kept showing up, not because of equipment, not because of amenities.
But because they believed in the culture, that spirit remains at the heart of YOTHAI today.
Our dojo is still growing.
We are currently completing Phase One of our facility, with additional training equipment, recovery areas, community spaces, and future improvements already planned.
But the most important part is already here.
The community.
MEET KRU DIEGO
Muay Thai is more than power.
It is the practice of connecting heart, body, and mind.
Kru Diego has dedicated years to studying and practicing Muay Thai with deep respect for its traditions, culture, and philosophy.
Diego's coaching emphasizes technical precision, discipline, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Become a little better every day.
Do the work. Support one another.
Kru Diego philosophy is simple:
Techniques matter.
Always Rhythm.
Grow with consistency.
MEET INSTRUCTOR KATE
Yoga is more than flexibility.
It is the practice of connecting body, breath, and mind.
Instructor Kate believes movement should be intentional, accessible, and empowering for everyone—regardless of age or experience.
Kate's classes are designed to improve mobility, flexibility, balance, recovery, and overall well-being while creating an environment where every student feels welcomed and supported.
Every movement is an opportunity to become stronger.
Every practice is an opportunity to become more connected with yourself.
Instructor Kate philosophy is simple:
Move with intention.
Breathe with purpose.
Grow with consistency.
OUR COMMUNITY
YOTHAI is built around people.
Not memberships.
Not equipment.
Not transactions.
Our members come from different backgrounds, professions, and life experiences.
Some arrive looking to lose weight, some want to learn self-defense, others seek confidence.
Many simply want a healthier lifestyle and a supportive community.
No matter where your journey begins, everyone trains under the same values:
Respect, Honor, Humility, Discipline, Compassion, and Continuous Growth.
When you join YOTHAI, you're not simply signing up for classes.
You're becoming part of a community that celebrates every victory, supports every challenge, and grows stronger together.
